The day that includes the Monserrate ticket, reviewed: 4.9 from 17 ratings

The one listing that writes the Monserrate ticket into its inclusions and puts a clock on the visit: entry and about an hour and a quarter at the palace from midday, then Regaleira from three for about two and a half hours, both tickets included, at about fifty-nine euros. Choose the pickup option if you are not driving between the palaces yourself; Pena’s exteriors are an add-on. An hour and a quarter is a good introduction to the house and about half of what the garden asks for, which is the right shape for a full day with two estates in it. If Monserrate is the reason you came, give it a morning on its own ticket; if you want two estates guided in one day with nothing to pay at either gate, this is the listing.

Okay, this day trip was sooo cool and magical! Our guide was absolutely incredible, history didn't feel boring for a single second because they kept sharing all these juicy insider secrets about the daily lives of the people who actually lived in Sintra. Wandering through Pena Palace, Regaleira, and Monserrate with someone who cares this much made the whole town feel like a fairytale. It was truuuly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on a trip! Thank you so muchhh

The time was not clear: the voucher said meet at 3 PM, but the Monserrate tour actually started at 12 PM. Fortunately, the support team responded promptly, even on a Sunday evening. The palaces and gardens are very beautiful, and Monserrate (less touristy) is the real gem. Our guide, Simone Silva, was really great, very knowledgeable, and friendly.

Best day ever! We had Francisco lead both tours and had a blast learning about all the history the place had to offer - he was an excellent guide and could tell was very passionate about sharing what he’s learned over the years… 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Joco (João A.) was one of the best, most knowledgeable and kindest guides we have ever had in our travels! He was so helpful and patient when our GPS took us to the wrong meeting point & we were 15 minutes late for our tour. He was a wealth of information and allowed us plenty of time at every point of interest at Monserrate & Regaleira. He was even kind enough to let us ride with him between the two palaces so we didn’t have to worry about driving or parking in downtown Sintra! He truly went above & beyond! He pointed out good restaurants and shops along the way, and never made us feel rushed or looked over, even when juggling participants with different languages. He thoroughly explained the history and way of life in the eras the palaces were built & lived in. I cannot say enough good things about him and this tour. Absolutely fantastic experience!

Deborah’s is the useful one for planning: the meeting time on her voucher and the start of the Monserrate visit differed, and “the support team responded promptly, even on a Sunday evening”. Read the timing on the listing at booking, and the day is what the other reviewers describe.
